Emma Folkerts, aged 72 years. Mrs. Hinrichs had been ailling for some time and had not been compelled to keepto her bed all of the time. Last Tuesday morning she appeared to be as well as usual. Her daughter had given her a cup of coffee. So quiet was her passing that the fact was not known to Mrs. Folkerts until she came into her mother's room with her breakfast tray and found her gone. Her death is attributed to a sudden heart attack. She had a number of doctors, who attempted to give her relief from her illness and all the care possible was taken for her by her children. She stayed most of the time during the late years with her son, Charles, in Wayne township, but for the past few months had spent the time with each of her three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Schrader, Mrs. Lilly Husman, and Mrs. Emma Folkerts, coming to the latter home only last Thursday. Besides these three daughters she is survived by her two sons, Charles and William, and sixteen grandchildren. Her husband, Henry Henrichs, preceded her in death in 1909,and her eldest daughter, Mrs. Nellie Kuhns, died in 1929. The funeral services will be held from the home of her son, Charles, tomorrow afternoon (Thursday) at 1 o'clock, and at Wayne Center church at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Willms, and interment will follow in the nearby cemetery beside the grave of her husband. She will be missed in the homes of her children, and in the neighborhood where she lived following her marriage in 1886. The farm where her son William now lives was the family home since 1898. Kind in spirit and disposition, she leaves many friends who knew her in her active days as a good friend and neighbor.
