RIENIETS FUNERAL SERVICE HELD TUESDAY Burial services were held Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Elise Rieniets, 76, who died at her home near Monticello Saturday morning at 8:45, following an illness of some time. She had been confined to her home for 16 years. Rev. Henry L. Adix officiated at services at the Goettsch funeral home at 1:30 and at 2 o'clock at St. Matthew's church. Interment was made at Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Rieniets was born March 10, 188, at Jever, Germany a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerd Weers. She was baptized in infancy and confirmed at the age of 14 years in a Lutheran church in Germany. She came to America in May, 1887, and was married to Henry Rieniets June 15, 1889. She has always made her home in Lovell township. She is survived by eight children: William, Gerhard and Theodore of Richland township; George of Castle Grove township; Mrs. Tobe Poppe (Alice) of Ryan, Henry, Elsie and Martha at home. One sister, Mrs. Anke Tieken of Lovell township, also survives in addition to 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Rieniets, died July 30, 1944 and a son, Carl, in February 1941.
