Henry L. Adix officiating. Short services were held at the family home at 1:30. Interment was made at Oakwood cemetery. Mr. Rieniets was born October 24, 1866, at Husum, Jever, Germany, a son of John and Anke (Hinrichs) Rieniets. Henry L. Adix officiating. Short services were held at the family home at 1:30. Interment was made at Oakwood cemetery. Mr. Rieniets was born October 24, 1866, at Husum, Jever, Germany, a son of John and Anke (Hinrichs) Rieniets. He was baptized December 2, 1860, and confirmed at the age of 14 at the Lutheran church at Cleverns, Germany. He came to the United States at the age of 22 in 1889 and settled at Monticello. He was married to Elise Weers June 15, 1889, and their home was made in Lovell township since that time. Nine children were born to this union, one of whom, Carl, died in February, 1941. The survivors are the widow and the following children: William, Gerhard and Theodore, of Richland township; Mrs. Tobe Poppe (Alice), Ryan; George, Castle Grove; Henry, Elsie and Martha, at home. He is also survived by a brother, William, of Strawberry Point. He had been ill ten weeks with heart trouble and other complications. His death occurred Sunday,July 3rd, at 2 p.m. at the age of 77 years.
