He was born Dec 1, 1921, on the family farm near Burlingame, the son of Irvin B Huske Sr and Evalina E Ball Huske. He attended Sharon District No 9 Rural School in SW Osage County. He was a dairy farmer. He worked at the John Morrell Meat Packing Plant during the 1940's and at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company during the 1950's. He was born Dec 1, 1921, on the family farm near Burlingame, the son of Irvin B Huske Sr and Evalina E Ball Huske. He attended Sharon District No 9 Rural School in SW Osage County. He was a dairy farmer. He worked at the John Morrell Meat Packing Plant during the 1940's and at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company during the 1950's. He retired, sold the farm, and moved to Harveyville, June 3, 1977.He was an active member of the Harveyville Church of Christ, for 37 years. He married Ethel Edgerton, Dec 7, 1941. She survives at the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Judith Shumate, Jarveyville; and Doris Huske, Seaside, Ore; a son, Ronald Huske Sr., Topeka; two adopted sons, Kenneth Huske, Howe, Texas; and Charles Huske, Topeka; a brother, Roy Huske, Thornton,Colo; three sisteers: Josephine Cockrell, Channelview, Texas; Ona Gehring, Belvue, Kan; and Lorraine Huske, Osage City; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, to be born in 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son James Huske; a grandson, Michael J Huske; a great-granddaughter, Destini Rene Huske; and two brothers, Irvin B Huske Jr, and Gaylord Huske. Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec 13, at the Harveyville Church of Christ. Burial was in Prairie Center Cemetery north of Burlingame. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Harveyville Fire Department First Responders or Maude Carpenter Children's Home, 1501 N Meridian, Wichita, Kan 67203.
