He was one of the most prosperous residents of South Boulder valley. He was a native of Ohio and came to Sheridan, Madison county, Mont., July 1879. He lived near Sheridan for about six months, then moved to the Willow Creek valley near Harrison. He remained here for about four years, then located a ranch on South Boulder, where he has resided ever since. He was married to Adeline Patrick in 1876. He leaves a wife and seven children. Five girls and two boys. Two sisters also survive him. Mr. Noble had been ailing for several years past, being afflicted with apoplexy. He went to California last winter, but the trip and the climate there did him no good and he was forced to hasten home to save his life. He had been sick ever since, but early Sunday morning was suddenly taken worse and Dr. Packard was called to attend him, but before the physician arrived the venerable gentleman had passed away. He was born in Ohio in 1852, where he grew to manhood and was married. He removed to Montana 32 years ago and resided in this state continuously ever since, being 58 years of age at the time of his death. Besides a loving wife, he leaves to mourn his death five daughters and two sons. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the residence of the deceased, and the remains interred in the little cemetery at South Boulder. Reverend Whitford presided at the funeral service, and spoke words of comfort and consolation to the bereaved members of the family. Contributor: RunninonMT (49509864)
