ELIZA ANN M'DONALD Respected Fort Fairfield Lady Dies May 8 Eliza Ann McDonald, who had paralytic stroke April 8, which affected her speech somewhat and paralyzed one side, died Thursday afternoon, May 8. Mrs. McDonald was born in Fort Fairfield July 29, 1848. She was a daughter of the late Peleg Nickerson and Rebecca Fitzherbert. About 50 years ago she was married to W. ELIZA ANN M'DONALD Respected Fort Fairfield Lady Dies May 8 Eliza Ann McDonald, who had paralytic stroke April 8, which affected her speech somewhat and paralyzed one side, died Thursday afternoon, May 8. Mrs. McDonald was born in Fort Fairfield July 29, 1848. She was a daughter of the late Peleg Nickerson and Rebecca Fitzherbert. About 50 years ago she was married to W. Lowell Barker of Fort Fairfield, three children being born of this union, all of whom are dead. Mr. Barker died about 23 years ago. On December 25, 1907 the deceased was married to Fred L. McDonald of Fort Fairfield, a veteran of the Civil war. Mr. McDonald died November 17, 1920. A brother, George T. Nickerson of Peshtigo, Wisconsin survives, also a sister-in-law, Mrs. Nellie Nickerson of Bangor, one nephew, Herbert O. Nickerson of Fort Fairfield, and two nieces, Mrs. Guy L. Cronkite of Portland and Mrs. Arthur W. Smith of Fort Fairfield. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the late home. Rev. O. A. Price, pastor of the Congregational church, of which the deceased had long been a member, officiating. The pallbearers were: Eugene M Smith of Mars Hill, Frank O. Osborne, D. Hersey Davis. and Charles S. Osborne of Fort Fairfield. A woman born and always living in Fort Fairfield and possessed of many excellent characteristics Mrs. McDonald had numerous friends, who deeply mourn her passing.
