Larson) was born in Norway on the 29th day of September, 1857, the daughter of Christian and Lena Olson Larson. She came to the United States at the age of seven and resided in Wisconsin. Later she moved to Nebraska and was married to J. E. Johnson on November 7, 1879. Death claimed her on Friday, December 13, 1907, at her home on East Twenty-fifth Street in Kearney. Larson) was born in Norway on the 29th day of September, 1857, the daughter of Christian and Lena Olson Larson. She came to the United States at the age of seven and resided in Wisconsin. Later she moved to Nebraska and was married to J. E. Johnson on November 7, 1879. Death claimed her on Friday, December 13, 1907, at her home on East Twenty-fifth Street in Kearney. Funeral services were held form the residence on Sunday morning, December 15, under the auspices of the Royal Neighbors of which order the deceased was a member. Dr. Abbott of the First M.E. Church officiating. The funeral procession proceeded to Pleasanton where services were held in the afternoon at 2:30, Dr. T. J. Gollaher officiating, and the church there was too small to hold the immense crowd present. Interment took place in the Pleasanton cemetery. The deceased leaves a husband and nine children, sons: Nels, Aktor Willie, Ole Garfield, Martin Ludvick, and John Byran Johnson; and daughters, Clara Moberg, Louise Razey, Miss Josephine Johnson(Swartz) and Miss Hilda Johnson (Fox). Eliza was fifty years, two months and fourteen days old at the time of her death. Kearney Daily Hub, Dec. 17, 1907, pg. 3 John and Eliza first lived in the Newark area before moving to Loup Township, Buffalo County, Nebraska in 1884. Eliza was a busy, organized person. When she made biscuits, she would roll the dough and cut with both hands; when she sewed for her family, she would cut stacks of material and then begin sewing.
