Description	:	OBITUARY- Elizabeth (Liz) Crawford, age 80, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Feb. 19, 2006. Elizabeth Agatha Jensen Crawford was born Feb. 5, 1926, in Sheffield, Iowa. She was the youngest of three children born to Lars and Mary (Hansen) Jensen. Elizabeth, better known as Liz, attended and graduated from Sheffield High School in 1944. Read More	OBITUARY- Elizabeth (Liz) Crawford, age 80, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Feb. 19, 2006. Elizabeth Agatha Jensen Crawford was born Feb. 5, 1926, in Sheffield, Iowa. She was the youngest of three children born to Lars and Mary (Hansen) Jensen. Elizabeth, better known as Liz, attended and graduated from Sheffield High School in 1944. After graduation, she worked at Sheffield Brick and Tile for two-and-a-half years during WWII. Liz and Forrest E. Crawford were married Sept. 5, 1946, in Hampton, Iowa. They moved to Austin in 1947 where she worked part time at the F. W. Woolworth and Sears Roebuck Stores for a few years. Forrest worked for the Hormel Co. for many years. To this union, three children were born: twin girls, Nancy Lee and Patsy Ann; and a son, Kim Eugene. She was an avid sports person and was inducted into the Hall of Fame for bowling in 1987. She played basketball for four years in high school. She loved fishing, camping, playing cards and crafting. She so enjoyed her granddaughters also. Liz moved to St. Mark's Lutheran Home on June 2, 2004, and enjoyed her stay there. Liz was a member of Crane Community Chapel at Austin, Minn., the Eagles, and was an AA member for 21-plus years. She was also a member of the Austin 600 Bowling Association. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Mark Lenz, of Austin, Minn.; son and daughter-in-law, Kim and Jackie Crawford, of Lyle, Minn.; granddaughters, Amber Crawford and Brandon Rinaldi, of Austin, Minn.; Holly Crawford, of Lyle, Minn.; sisters and brother-in-law, Nelsine and Leo Schroeder, of Sheffield, Iowa; Pat Beebe, of Hampton, Iowa; brother-in-law and wife, Rex and Mary Crawford, of West Bend, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest; infant daughter, Patsy Ann, in 1952; and great-grandson, Lee Alfonso Rinaldi, in 2006. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with Pastor Mark Goossen officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield, Iowa. Visitation will be held at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary today from 5-8 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour before the service. Honorary bearers are Dorthy Matter, Rosie Cook, Elaine Reynolds and Lu Cline. Casket bearers will be Dale Crawford, Dennis Crawford, Roger Schroeder, Roger Crawford, Jayne Shaffer and Annette Hegarty. The family prefers memorials.
