Description	:	Boone County Democrat January 15, 1914 Mrs. Elizabeth Hannum, another of the well-known and highly esteemed pioneer residents of the county, passed away at the old family home near Mineral Ridge Sunday, January 11th, death being due largely to old age. Elizabeth Gibbons was born in Muskegon County, Ohio, July 9, 1831. There she grew to young womanhood and in 1851 was united in marriage with Mr. William Hannum. Read More	Boone County Democrat January 15, 1914 Mrs. Elizabeth Hannum, another of the well-known and highly esteemed pioneer residents of the county, passed away at the old family home near Mineral Ridge Sunday, January 11th, death being due largely to old age. Elizabeth Gibbons was born in Muskegon County, Ohio, July 9, 1831. There she grew to young womanhood and in 1851 was united in marriage with Mr. William Hannum. In 1865 they came to Boone county and settled on a farm in Dodge township, which has since been the family home, making them among the earliest of the pioneer residents of the county. The family has always enjoyed the highest esteem and confidence of the entire community and countless friends throughout the county mourn her death and extend sincere sympathy to the surviving members of the family. The husband passed away about twenty two years ago. To Mr. and Mrs. Hannum were born four sons and three daughters, all of whom survive her and were present at her death bed and funeral. They are George Hannum, deputy county sheriff, John Hannum, a well-known retired railway man, Alva Hannum of Boone, Frank Hannum, manager of the Farmers Elevator and Live Stock Company, Miss Margaret, who lived at home with her mother and tenderly cared for her during her declining years, Mary, wife of Henry Pollard of Boone and Effie, wife of John D. Good. She is also survived by one brother S.G. Gibbons of this city. The funeral services were held today from the home at 11:00 o’clock and at 12:00 o’clock from the Mineral Ridge M.P. church conducted by the Rev. Howard of Pilot Mound burial in the Mineral Ridge cemetery.
