Mrs. Mike Gengler Mrs, Mike (Elizabeth) Gengler, 93, of Oyens, died Sunday (March 22,1981), at Floyd Valley hospital at Le Mars after being stricken at her home of an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Mike Gengler Mrs, Mike (Elizabeth) Gengler, 93, of Oyens, died Sunday (March 22,1981), at Floyd Valley hospital at Le Mars after being stricken at her home of an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Gengler, the former Elizabeth Arens, was born Dec. 12,1887, at Alton, to John and Magdalen (Mousel) Arens. She received her education at Alton and lived their until her marrige. She was married Jan 23, 1918, at Alton. They farmed near Oyens, until 1944 when they retired and moved into Oyens. Mr. Gengler died Sept. 19,1950. She had been residing in rural Oyens since 1952. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic church, the church of Guild and Christian Mothers, all of Oyens, and Catholic Daughters of America and the 3rd Order of St. Francis, both of Remsen. Survivors are one son, Al F. "Sonny" of Oyens; one daughter, Mrs. Duane (Magdalen) Weiler of Oyens; 19 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. George (Josephine) Roman of Remsen. She was also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Frank, Paul, George, Ferd, Joe and Charles and four sisters, Mrs. Nick (Mary) Hoffman, Mrs. James (Katherine) Kinney, Mrs. Phil (Ann) Lichter and Mrs. Paul (Margaret) Neyers and two grandchildren.
