Read More	Taken from the Le Mars Globe-Post, Le Mars, Iowa, Monday, October 2, 1950 Front Page MIKE GENGLER DIES FOLLOWING AUTO ACCIDENT Mike Gengler of Oyens, passed away on Friday, Sept. 29, at the Sacred Heart hospital in Le Mars following a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Gengler was involved in an automobile accident near Oyens last Tuesday. Mike Gengler, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gengler was born on February 29, 1884, near Oyens and was 66 years and 7 months old at the time of his death. On January 23, 1916 he was united in marriage with Elizabeth Arens at Alton, la. They had lived in Plymouth County all their life. Funeral services were held on October 2, at 9:30 a. m.(today) at St. Catherine's Catholic church in Oyens with Rev. Father Parle officiating. Burial was in St. Catherine's cemetery there. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, a daughter (Magdalen) Mrs. Duane Weiler of Oyens and one son, Al Gengler of Sargeant Bluffs; Four grandchildren; 3 brothers, Nick of Elkton, S. D., Ted of Remsen; Pete of Oyens; Four sisters, (Susan) Mrs. Gerhard Probst of Le Mars; (Francis) Mrs. Frank Ludwig, Remsen; (Katherine) Mrs. Jack Arens of Oyens, (Elizabeth) Mrs. George Lanzendorf of Oyens. He was preceededin death by his parents and one step brother. Mr. Gengler was a member of the Order of Forresters and the Luxembourg Brotherhood of America and the Eagles Club. Fisch Funeral hiome in Reinsen was in charge, of arrange-ments.
