JULIUS RITTER OF SHELBYVILLE, MO., DIED AS A RESULT Of Hurrying for Medical Aid for Her Sick Husband. SHELBYVILLE, Mo., April 25 — Mrs. Elizabeth B., wife of Julius Rltter, sr., died at her home near this city yesterday morning at 4:30 of heart trouble. Last Sunday she was apparently in her usual health, and her husband was sick, and about noon she hurried over to the county infirmary to telephone for Dr. Maupin. Then she ran back home. This rapid trip to and from the infirmary affected her heart and shortly after she reached home she became unconscious. Dr. Maupin applied restoratives and she soon revived and seemed on the road to recovery, but a second attack early yesterday morning proved fatal. Deceased was born in Stark county, O., Jan. 25, 1841. She leaves a husband, three sons and four daughters. Funeral services took place at the Christian church in this city at 3 p. m. today, conducted by Rev. C. E. Wagner. Burial in Masonic cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth B., wife of Julius Ritter, Sr., died at her home near this city yesterday morning at 4:30 of heart trouble. Last Sunday she was apparently in her usual health. The deceased was born in Ohio January 25th, 1841 but for many years had lived at Shelbyville. Sr. So swiftly did the summons come that many of us did not even know that she was sick; but the angel of Death never sends us word that He will call for us at a definite time, but the Master tells us as recorded in Luke 12:40 "Be ye therefore ready also, for the Son of Man cometh at an hour when ye think not." Elizabeth Culler was born in Stark county, Ohio, Jan. 25, 1841; died at her home in Shelbyville, Mo., April 24, 1906. Aged 65 years, 2 months and 29 days. She came to this county with her parents when she was 2 years old ; they settled in the Bethel Colony and resided there until she was married to Julius Ritter April 12, 1864. To this union were born 10 children, 7 of whom are living. She leaves to mourn her death, a husband, 4 daughters, 3 sons, relatives and many friends. She was a pure, good woman, reserved in her manners, and lived a quiet, peaceful life. In her home she was all that a loving and affectionate wife and mother could be; and to-day her children rise up and call her blessed. Her neighbors and friends loved her and valued her because of her kind heart and lovely character. She was always mindful of others: in sickness she was ever ready to do everything within her power that would lend assistance.
