Lindblad, here in Wolsey at 2 o'clock. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ralph Osmanson, Miss Marior Steuerwald, and Martin Busch with Miss Maxine Cogswell at the piano. Pall bearers were: A. O. Friese, Harry Nelson, L. E. Baker,Eddie Langbehn, Fred Steuerwald, and Orien Palmer. Burial was made in the Wolsey cemetery. Obituary Bessie Palmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm . Palmer, was born at Yonkers, New York, November 17, 1877 and died in Huron, South Dakota at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Jansen, October 25, 1939 at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 24 days. At the age of five, she came with her parents to Hitchcock, S. Dak., where her father took up a tree claim. Here the deceased lived with her parents until her marriage to Wm. Bootz, at Huron, June 20, 1896. Mr. and Mrs. Bootz lived at Hitchcock eleven years. They moved to Midland in 1907, where Mr. Bootz filed on a homestead. The family came to Wolsey in November, 1911, where Mrs. Bootz has lived for the past 28 years. Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Bootz. One child died in infancy. The children left to mourn the passing of the mother are: Frank Bootz, George Bootz, Mrs. C. 0. Lindblad and Miss Evelyn Bootz of Wolsey and Mrs. Frank Jansen of Huron, and six grandchildren: Robert, Marjorie, Carl, Donna Mae and Ronald Lindblad, and Wanda Jansen. Mrs. Bootz' mother, grandmother Palmer, is still living, and has almost reached the 92 year mark. The home of Mrs. Palmer is at High River, Alberta, Canada. Two brothers and three sisters survive the deceased: Wm. and Fred Palmer, also of High River, Canada; Mrs. Lillie Kaump, Mrs. Violet Bailey, and Mrs. J. H. Thornton, all of Spokane, Washington. Mr. Bootz preceded his wife in death in 1931. Mrs. Bootz was a lovely, retiring mother, always having the interests of her children at heart. She was very faithful to her family. All was done for her, that could be done, but evidently, her earthly work was finished. Mrs. Bootz was a member of the Methodist Church at Hitchcock, having united there many years ago. She was also a member of the Home Department of the Presbyterian Sunday School of Wolsey. The deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
