Description	:	ANTIOCH, CA - Elizabeth "Beth" Shivers Greczyn passed peacefully on March 3, 2013, at the age of 80. Born May 1, 1932, in Hightstown, NJ, Beth was the youngest of three daughters of Howard and Marie Shivers. In high school, Beth was a cheerleader. Read More	ANTIOCH, CA - Elizabeth "Beth" Shivers Greczyn passed peacefully on March 3, 2013, at the age of 80. Born May 1, 1932, in Hightstown, NJ, Beth was the youngest of three daughters of Howard and Marie Shivers. In high school, Beth was a cheerleader. After graduating she met and married her husband Ted in 1950. Beth had their first child, Ted III, in 1952, and daughter, Barbara, in 1955, before opening Gretchen's Fashion Fabrics with her mother-in-law, Betty, in 1959. She continued there, having their third and last child, Amy, in 1963, through 1969, when the family moved to Illinois and shortly thereafter, Northern California. The family joined St Andrews Presbyterian Church where Beth was active in choir and Bible Study Fellowship. She returned to work in 1973 at New York Fabrics until the family returned to New Jersey in 1981. While in California, Beth enjoyed going to Yosemite National Park, Carmel, and the various sites around the San Francisco Bay Area, in addition to the yearly visits home to New Jersey. She was an animal lover, particularly of cats and birds, and loved the majesty of nature. Upon returning to New Jersey, Beth began working at Educational Testing Service's TEAFL Division through a temp service, which allowed her to travel with her husband during business trips and to visit her children. Upon retiring in 1997 to Camden, NC, Beth began sewing baby receiving blankets and towel sets that she sold on consignment. She also participated in a quilting group and took painting classes. In 2004, Beth and Ted moved inland to Aberdeen, NC, near her brother-in-law Robert Greczyn and his wife Anna, before moving west again in May 2010 to Northern California, to be closer to their daughters. Beth followed her husband, Theodore J. Greczyn Jr., who died January 8, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her oldest sister, Janet and her husband, Edwin Brownell, and brother-in-law George Conley III. She is survived by her three children, son, Theodore Greczyn III (Wilma), and daughters, Barbara Miller and Amy Greczyn; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her sister, Lillian Conley, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Elizabeth S. and Theodore J. Greczyn Jr. will be jointly held on April 6, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church, Cranbury, NJ. In memory of our parents, we ask that in lieu of flowers, you donate to the Alzheimer's Association, the Audubon Society, or the Boy Scouts of America.
