| Description | : | Elizabeth Richardson, called "Betsy," was the daughter of Edward Richardson (c. 1751-c. 1798, though some sources say d. 1821), a Soldier of the Revolution, and his second wife who was probably Catherine Basinger. Elizabeth was born in Mecklenburg County, NC, in the area that later became Union Co. While the tombstone suggests that she was born in 1800, other records suggest that she was older than that, born circa 1796/8. She married Valentine M. (probably Moses) Starnes (c. 1792-1880).
