Description	:	Obituary: Elizabeth Kearns, nee Dunlap, was born in Alleghany county, Pennsylvania, Mar 19, 1841. Died Aug 7, 1895, aged 53 years, 4 months and 18 days. At the age of 1 years her parents moved to Harrison county, Ohio where they lived for 2 years, thence to Athens county, Ohio living there for 5 years when they moved to Linn county, Iowa. Read More	Obituary: Elizabeth Kearns, nee Dunlap, was born in Alleghany county, Pennsylvania, Mar 19, 1841. Died Aug 7, 1895, aged 53 years, 4 months and 18 days. At the age of 1 years her parents moved to Harrison county, Ohio where they lived for 2 years, thence to Athens county, Ohio living there for 5 years when they moved to Linn county, Iowa. October 1858 she was married to Thos. J Kearns. She was the mother of 12 children, 11 of whom are living and was with her during the day she died. She had been a great sufferer for about 22 years with neuralgia and lung trouble. She was baptised in infancy by a Presbyterian minister and united with the M.E. church at the Prairie Chapel where she remained until her master called her home. She was conscious until death gave her relief from the suffering, saying that she had her peace made with God and was willing to go. She was a consistant Christian, faithful wife, a loving mother and a friend to all who knew her. She leaves her aged father, her husband, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 11 children, 22 grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her loss. She was interred in the Jordan's Grove Cemetery beside her boy who had gone before and will welcome her in heaven. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev Piper of Marion, at the home of the deceased, it being her request.
