From an unknown newspaper: Elizabeth Ellen Driscoll Elizabeth Ellen Tracy, oldest child of John and Phillippa Richard Tracy, was born in Coon Branch, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, July 23, 1870 and passed away at the home of her son at Kenosha, June 11, 1942, at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 19 days---after an illness of almost 2 years. On February 2, 1892 she was united in marriage to John Driscoll, at Leadmine, who preceded her in death January 21, 1939. To this union were born Harry and Dora of Kenosha, Roy of Benton and Charles who died in infancy. The deceased spent the greater part of her life in this vicinity, having moved to Benton after the death of her husband in 1939. She was a Charter member of Starlight Rebekah Lodge of Leadmine, Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star and a member of the Methodist Church. Until failing health prevented her attendance at these organizations, she was always an active member. A few weeks ago she went to Kenosha to visit and while there suffered a very severe heart attack. She had been getting weaker so that when the end came it was more a blessing than a sorrow. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon. After a short service in the home, the body was taken to the Methodist church, where the services were conducted by Rev. David Griffith of Apple River. Mrs. J. Wiseman and J. Bowman sang her favorite hymns, accompanied by Mrs. Alvin Winskell. The sympathy of the community are with those whose homes have been made sorrowful and lonely, by the call to "those realms from which no traveler returns." "Lizzie" as she was known to her friends and associates, was ever ready to lend a helping hand, loved to have her family about her and have a reunion with her brothers and sisters. She was a devoted wife and mother. The funeral was largely attended and at the conclusion of church services, the body was taken to the P. M. cemetery at Leadmine and laid to rest beside the remains of her husband. The active casket bearers were Clarence Fox, Harold Gray, Wes Robson, Joe Wiseman, Verne Smythe and George Farrey. Honorary were Frank McKenna, James Wright, W. Q. Eberts, John Temple John Dawson and Phillip McGuire. There were many beautiful baskets, wreaths and sprays of flowers carried by Misses Iola, Eloise, and Jeanette Driscoll, Wilda Driscoll Orth, Betty Spafford and Mary Zubler. The flowers were in charge of LaVene Gipe, assisted by Lilla Buchan and Adalean Cottingham. Those left to mourn her departure: two sons and one daughter, Harry and Mrs. John Limbaugh (Dora) of Kenosha, Roy at home; six grandchildren, John Limbaugh Jr., Camp Gordon, Georgia, Warren Limbaugh, Joyce Driscoll, Mrs. Gordon Raimon of Kenosha, Joy and James Driscoll of Benton; five sisters, Mrs. Fred Winder (Annie), Mrs. Al Pitzen (Mae), and Mrs. Steven Stoyles (Mabel) all of Waterloo, Mrs. James Tindell (Maria), Platteville, Mrs. Eugene Spafford (Jennie) of Rockford; two brothers, James Tracy, Deerfield, Ill., and John Tracy, Platteville, and several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Two sisters Eva and Myrtle and a brother William preceded her in death.
