Mrs. Blitch was a native of Orange Springs. Besides her widower, William H Blitch, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Forest Geer, Jacksonville, and Mrs. Pearl Brooker, Green Cove springs; six sons, F.L. Blitch of Blitch & Beaton, real estate dealers, this city; W. I. Blitch, Perry; O. T. Blitch, Orange Park; Clinton Blitch, Green Cove Springs; R. E. Blitch and Roy H. Blitch, both of Quincy, and two brothers, James B. Hall, this city, and J. P. Hall, Titusville; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Middleburg Baptist church tomorrow at 10 a.m. with the pastor the Rev. L. T. Ivey, officiating, assisted by the Rev. N. A. Thompson, pastor of Green Cove Springs Baptist church. Burial under direction of the Seashole funeral parlors will be in Middleburg Cemetery. (Transcribed as written) 2. NAME AND DATE OF NEWSPAPER UNKNOWN From the Collection of Mary Kidd Large Concourse of People and Great Profusion of Flowers Gave Ebidence ol High Esteem In Which Mrs. Blitch Was Held.* The remains of Mrs. Elizabeth Blitch, wife of Mr. W. H. Blitch, who died at her home in Green Cove Springs Thursday morning at 4:00 o'clock, were interred in the family plot at Middleburg last Friday morning at 10:00 o'clock. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. T. Ivey, assisted by Revs. N. A. Thompspn, Jr., and G. A. Prevatt. A great concourse of people and a vast profusion of floral offerings testifiedfid to the high esteem in which the deceased was held. Two funeral arrangements were in charge of the Seasholes Funeral Parlors. Active pall barers were Messrs. W. O. Geiger, G. W. Geiger, D. G. Dyson, R. L. Townsend, R. H. Hinson and E. V. Priest. The honorary pall bearers were Messrs. D. F. Brenizer, J. J. Brooker, W. L. Hendricks, P. J. Canova, J. F. Lucas and B. Booth. Prior to her marriage to W. H. Blitch June 25th, 1873, she was Miss Elizabeth E. Hall, born at Waynesboro, Ga., July 13th, 1853. At two years of age her family moved to Orange Spring, in this state, and later to Middleburg, where she was married. Mr. and Mrs. Blitch moved to Green Cove Springs eighteen years ago and have since made their home here. Mrs. Blitch was the mother of ten children, eight of whom survive her and all of whom were at her bedside at the time of her death. They are Ozias T., of Orange Park; W. Ivey of Pierce, H. C. of Green Cove Springs; F. L. of Jacksonville; R. E. and R. H. of Quincy; Mrs. Alma Geer, of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Pearl Brooker of Green Cove Springs. Two children, Bertha, died at the age of three years and Mrs. Neta Long died at the age of nineteen. Besides her children the deceased is survived by her husband, eighteen grand children and five great grandchildren, and two brothers, J. P. Hall, of Titusville and J. B. Hall, of Jacksonville. On November 16th,1903 Mrs. Blitch united with the Methodist Church and her's was a beautiful Christian life. *Transcribed as written
