Description	:	Obituary of Mrs. David Adams Elizabeth Frazee was born in Perry county, Ohio, January 10, 1833, and died near Douds, Iowa, April 6, 1921, aged 88 years, 2 months and 26 days. She came with her parents to Van Buren county in 1841 to the farm known as the Kirkendall place, then after many years, moved to near Kilbourne. She was converted at a camp meeting on "Indian Prairie," now Lebanon, when 16 years old and was faithful to the Master's cause until called by death. She attended school at Keosauqua and Mt.... Read More	Obituary of Mrs. David Adams Elizabeth Frazee was born in Perry county, Ohio, January 10, 1833, and died near Douds, Iowa, April 6, 1921, aged 88 years, 2 months and 26 days. She came with her parents to Van Buren county in 1841 to the farm known as the Kirkendall place, then after many years, moved to near Kilbourne. She was converted at a camp meeting on "Indian Prairie," now Lebanon, when 16 years old and was faithful to the Master's cause until called by death. She attended school at Keosauqua and Mt. Pleasant and taught sevral years in the schools of this county. April 19, 1869, she was married to David Adams, who preceded her in death January 26, 1905. She leaves a son Samuel Adams; a sister Mrs. Rachel Miller of near Bloomfield, Iowa; three brothers, Samuel of Georgia, Jacob of Portland, Oregon, and Bascomb of Kalispell, Montana, besides many other relatives and friends. She was the oldest of 12 children and was preceded in death by Elvira who died near Kilbourne in 1856, Mrs. Martha Platt of the same place, in 1899, William at Helena, Montana, in 1905, Minnie at Canon City, Colo., in 1914, Mrs. Mary Kirkendall of Douds in 1915, also Margaret and Emma who died in childhood near Leando. She was a regular attendant at worship while health permitted and trusted her Savior all the way. Funeral services were at the Zion Lutheran church at 2 p.m., April 8, conducted by rev. C. L. Ellis. Burial was in the cemetery near by.
