She died at the Fillmore hospital, Geneva, Neb, at 6 p. m. Monday, January 11, 1937. Her demise was occasioned by a severe attack of intestinal flu. Read More	LAUENSTEIN, ELIZABETH—Elizabeth Lauenstein, nee Tobiassen, was born to Jurgen Tobiassen and his wife , Hilke Catherine, February 24, 1859 at Jacksonville, Morgan county, Illinois. She died at the Fillmore hospital, Geneva, Neb, at 6 p. m. Monday, January 11, 1937. Her demise was occasioned by a severe attack of intestinal flu. She reached the age of 77 years. 10 months, and 19 days. Mrs. Lauenstein had been a resident of Fillmore county for more than fifty-seven years having immigrated with her parents from Illinois in 1879. February 24,, 1887, she was united in marriage with William H. Lauenstein, with whom she enjoyed a long wedded life till his decease October 6, 1931. Most of her wedded life was spent at farming with her husband in Mommence township. It was in the autumn of 1921 that she and her husband retired to spend their declining days in Geneva. The union was blessed with six children. One of these, a son named John, preceded his parents in death in February, 1908. Those surviving and now mourning a mother's death are Fred, William and Edward, with their families all of Geneva, and two daughters with their families, Mrs. Anna Baumann of Sutton, Neb., and Mrs. Martha Uldrich of this city. One brother of the deceased, George Tobiassen of Geneva, and a sister-in-law, Louise Lauenstein of Geneva, also are among the bereaved, besides fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a large number of relatives and friends. The funeral service was held at the Geneva Lutheran church at 2 o'clock last Wednesday afternoon, and was conducted by Rev. R. H. Vollmers. Internment was in the Geneva cemetery.
