Description	:	LAUENSTEIN, EDWARD C.—Edward C. Lauenstein, son of William and Elizabeth Lauenstein, was born June 24, 1899, on a farm west of Geneva where he lived and farmed until January 1972. Then he entered Heritage of Geneva, where he spent his remaining years. On March 14, 1977, he entered the Fillmore County hospital and passed away March 16, 1977, at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 20 days. Lauenstein, son of William and Elizabeth Lauenstein, was born June 24, 1899, on a farm west of Geneva where he lived and farmed until January 1972. Then he entered Heritage of Geneva, where he spent his remaining years. On March 14, 1977, he entered the Fillmore County hospital and passed away March 16, 1977, at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 20 days. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and at the time of his death was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran church at Shickley and found strength in his faith. On November 9, 1921, Ed was united in marriage to Alma Lentfer of Grafton. They were blessed with four sons and one daughter. Ed is preceded in death by two brothers, John and Fred; two sisters, Anna Bauman and Martha Uldrich, and a granddaughter, Suzanne Schmidt. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Alma; Clarence of Clearfield, Utah; Harold of Columbus; Elaine (Mrs. Reuben Schmidt) of Wonewoc, Wis.; Robert of Bruning and Donald of Geneva, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, William E., of Geneva, and a number of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & Son funeral home in Geneva at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 19, with Rev. Ivan E. Peterson officiating. The organist was Mrs. Norval Lomax. Pallbearers were Vernon and Danny Lauenstein, Phillip Diederich, Dean Richards, Mervin Baumann and and Kenneth Lauenstein.
