Description	:	Mrs Elizabeth Fike, widow of Abraham Fike, died this morning at 3:30 o'clock at the old people's home at the Church of the Brethren in Marion township. Death was due to old age. Mrs Fike had been failing and confined to her bed for the past five weeks. Mrs Fike was born Elizabeth Gnagey January 7, 1822 in Somerset county, Pennsylvania. Mrs Fike had been failing and confined to her bed for the past five weeks. Mrs Fike was born Elizabeth Gnagey January 7, 1822 in Somerset county, Pennsylvania. She was married to Abraham Fike July 5, 1840. In 1853 Mr and Mrs Fike came to Lee county, Illinois and in 1867 to Iowa, settling on a farm near State Center. Mr Fike died twenty years ago next September at his home near Melbourne. Mr and Mrs Fike were both active and devoted workers in the Church of the Brethren. Mrs Fike is survived by four of her twelve children. They are Mrs Lydia Richeson of this city, Mrs Carrie Vaughtrin of Beattle, Kansas, Mrs Mary Triplett of Sutherland and H H Fike of Detroit, Michigan. The grandchildren in this city are Mrs John Mohr, Miss Nora Wilkey, Mrs Kexia Kimberlin, Mrs Nellie Richeson and Gaylord Richeson. Funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs Lydia Richeson, 303 Summit Street, Wednesday afternoon. Rev F M Coughenour, of Ankeny, is expected to have charge of the services.
