Reed, in the 80th year of her age. She was born in England, February 9, 1812 and came to this country with her parents, when in her fifteenth year, residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Read More	OBITUARY - Mrs. Elizabeth Reed (prob. from Brookville, Indiana newspaper) Died of dropsy in Abilene, Kansas, Sunday, March 6th, 1892.Elizabeth Reed, widow of the late Zephaniah B. Reed, in the 80th year of her age. She was born in England, February 9, 1812 and came to this country with her parents, when in her fifteenth year, residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was married to Zephaniah B. Reed in 1833, they moved to Brookville, Indiana in 1836, where they resided for nearly forty years. To them were born nine children, five of whom are living. In 1871 they removed to Abilene, Kansas, where she resided until death called her home. She was loving Mother, a kind neighbor, and had many friends who will mourn their loss. She was a great sufferer for many years, but was patient, ever trusting in her Savior for help, with the promise of "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord." Her remains were laid to rest March 9th in the Abilene cemetery by the side of her husband. OBITUARY - from the Abilene Daily Reflector Monday, March 7, 1892 AN AGED MOTHER TAKEN: Mrs. Reed, mother of Samuel and John Reed, died yesterday evening at the home of the former, 2 miles SW of the city. She was aged 80 years and had been an invalid for many years. The funeral will be from the home of her son, Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Blayney officiating. Interment in Abilene Cemetery.
