Whitson of Hackney died Tuesday, August 31, aged eighty years and ten months. The funeral services were held Wednesday at eleven o'clock at the Baptist church at Hackney, conducted by Rev. W. O. In September 1866 she was married to I. J. [sic] Whitson, who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Whitson were among the early settlers in Cowley county, and prominent in the affairs of Hackney.
