Annie Bell. ------------ 03 May 1855 in Chenango County, New York, the 3rd child of 12 children born to Sarah Elizabeth Binning and Joseph Baker was a daughter named Elizabeth Baker. 16 Sep 1873 in Delaware County, Iowa, at the age of 18 Years, 4 Months, 13 Days, Elizabeth Baker married John Hewlett. 1874 -- 1880 in a 6 year span Elizabeth Baker Hewlett gave birth to 3 children. Elizabeth was 24 years of age with the with of her 3rd child, daughter, Anna Belle Hewlett. 1877 - 1881 in 4 years, tragedy hit hard for the Elizabeth Baker and John Hewlett family, two of their children dying as toddlers, son Arthur Hewlett at just one & half years of age in 1877 and 4 years later in 1881, daughter Anna Belle Hewlett, at the age of 1 year, 5 months, & 23 days of age. 05 Nov 1922 in Grand River, Decatur County, Iowa, Elizabeth Baker Hewlett's husband of 49 years John Hewlett passed away. 20 Mar 1948 in Center, Decatur County, Iowa, at the age of 92 Years, 10 Months, & 17 Days, Elizabeth Hewlett passed away. The former Elizabeth Baker was born on May 3rd, 1955 in Chenango County, New York to parents, Sarah Elizabeth Binning and Joseph Baker. In the spring of 1855, by covered wagon, her parents moved to Delaware County, Iowa, Elizabeth was only a few months of age, her sister Sarah was 4 and brother Joseph was 3 years of age. Elizabeth Baker attended school & grew up in Delaware County, Iowa. Here she married on September 16th 1873 in Delaware County, Iowa, John Hewlett. To this union, three children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hewlett, a son, Arthur E Hewlett, a daughter, Anna Belle Hewlett, parents: Sarah Elizabeth (Binning) and Joseph Baker, sisters:Sarah Ann Baker Fletcher, Mary Baker Boyce , brothers, Joseph Baker who made his home with her in his latter years, and George Edward Baker, also 2 infant siblings. Those left to honor her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Mary Catherine (Joy) and William Hewlett, Grand River, Decatur, Iowa, sisters: Emma Jane Baker Morrill, Blackwell, Kay, Oklahoma, Eliza Jane "Jennie" Baker Metts Grand River, Decatur, Iowa, brothers: Wiliam Henry Baker, Kellerton, Ringgold, Iowa, Richard Francis Baker, "Dick", Grand River, Decatur, Iowa, John Francis Baker, California, 23 Mar 1948 The Osceola Tribune Services Today For E. Hewlett Funeral services were conducted at Grand River this afternoon Tuesday for Mrs. Elizabeth Hewlett who died Saturday. She was 92. The Reverend Crouse officiated with the Lanioroe Funeral Service in charge. Burial was in the Grand River cemetery. Pall bearers were Arthur Hewlett, Clifford Hewlett, Lawrence Hewlett, Lee Hewlett, Sherman Baker and Geral Evans. Music was supplied by Royal Boles, Glen Palmer, Marie Cole, Pearl Foland with Mrs. Icea Carras accompanist.
