Description	:	MO d/c 7625 OBITUARY Bettie L. Eaton was born in Oklahoma County, Okla., March 30, 1844, and passed from this life Feb. 12, 1923, being 78 years, 10 months and 12 days old. She came to Missouri with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Mitchell, and settled on a farm near Holliday, Monroe county, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Henry M. She came to Missouri with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Mitchell, and settled on a farm near Holliday, Monroe county, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Henry M. Eaton Feb. 12, 1867. They went to housekeeping first at Walkersville where Mr. Eaton owned a farm. To this union were born 7 children, 4 girls and 3 boys, James of Bucklin, Kan.. Charles of McAlester, Okla., and Thomas of Bacon Chapel. Her two surviving daughters are Mrs. Lillie Schofield of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Mrs. Birdie Harris of Houston, Texas. Two little girls died in infancy. One sister, Mrs. Emma Sanders of Clarence, four brothers of Monroe county, 10 grandchildren; two of her granddaughters attending the funeral, Mrs. Murl Simpson of Kansas City and Mrs. Verona Allen of near Kansas City. Her last days were spent at her old home near Lentner mid familiar faces and beloved neighbors. Sister Eaton was converted and united with the Bacon Chapel church under Rev. A. C. Browning, to which she remained faithful to the last, expressing herself willing and ready to go. Her funeral was conducted by Rev. C. H. Werner, a former pastor. She was laid to rest in Bacon Chapel cemetery awaiting the resurrection morn. Blessed are the dead who d [sic] in the Lord. REV. WERNER.
