Elizabeth Laevenetein, Hoxie, 74, died Monday, Dec. 7 at Aurora Presbyterian Hospital, Aurora, Colo. She was born Oct. 8, 1918 near Ellis, to Benedict and Mary (Dinkel) Denning.
She married Gabriel Laevenstein in 1942 at Park. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Frances Catholic Church and the Altar Society both of Hoxie.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Donald and James, both of Hoxie; a daughter, Mary Bogner, Denver~ three brothers, George Denning, Norton, Leo Denning, Ellis, and Anthony Donning, Nevada, Mo.; a sister, Mary Knoll, WaKeeney, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday at St. Frances Catholic Church, Hoxie, with Father Merlin Kieffer officiating burial in the church cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the church Altar Society. |
