Description	:	Elizabeth Mary "Liz" Grimm, 89, of Wapello died Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Wapello Nursing & Rehab Center. Born Jan. 26, 1924, in Taylor, Mo., she was the daughter of Joseph and Edna Fisher Wiegand. On June 22, 1961, she married Jess C. Grimm in Oakville. He died Oct. 24, 1992. Mrs. Grimm was a homemaker, farmed with her husband and worked as a secretary at JI Case in Burlington. She graduated from Oakville High School and attended business school in Burlington. Read More	Elizabeth Mary "Liz" Grimm, 89, of Wapello died Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Wapello Nursing & Rehab Center. Born Jan. 26, 1924, in Taylor, Mo., she was the daughter of Joseph and Edna Fisher Wiegand. On June 22, 1961, she married Jess C. Grimm in Oakville. He died Oct. 24, 1992. Mrs. Grimm was a homemaker, farmed with her husband and worked as a secretary at JI Case in Burlington. She graduated from Oakville High School and attended business school in Burlington. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Oakville/Mediapolis. She enjoyed entertaining, gardening, cooking and children. Survivors include three daughters, Janet Jordan of Columbus Junction, Marilyn Keldgord of Wapello and Tammy McLain of Marietta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Eunice Wuthrich of Morton, Ill., Hazel Geyer and Sharon Hodel, both of Peoria, Ill., and Joan Lanz of Oakville; and one brother, Al Wiegand of Morning Sun. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, where family will receive friends. The funeral for Mrs. Grimm will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Apostolic Christian Church in Mediapolis, with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, rural Oakville. A luncheon gathering will be after burial at the church.
