Description	:	The death of Mrs. Milton Summers, of Windfall, took place at the Hoppenwrath hospital at Elwood, Tuesday morning at five o;clock where she had been taken a few weeks ago that she might have special treatment and care. Her illness dates back several months and for several weeks her condition had been critical and her death expected. She was suffering with kidney and bladder trouble and during her last illness senile gangrene had developed. The body was taken to the Summers home in Windfall and the funeral will take place there. Mrs. Summers, whose maiden name was Miss Elizabeth Matilda Wiley, was the daughter of Robert and Mary Wiley, and she was born at Thorntown, August 14th, 1849, where her parents had lived any years, they having been born at Thorntown and their deaths took place there; the father in 1875 and the mother in 1873. In 1887 she was married to Andrew Hinshaw the wedding taking place at Windfall, where she had come to make her home. Mr. Hinshaw died in 1905 at Windfall, leaving her with one daughter, who is now Mrs. Ora Frances Whitehead, wife of William Whitehead of Windfall. She was married in 1907 to J. Milton Summers of Windfall, and is survived by her husband, her daughter, and three step-children; Glen Cooper Hinshaw, of New York, the noted artist; Mrs. Effie Carter of Elwood; and Denton Summers of Goldsmith. She is also survived by three sisters; Mrs. Martha Roberson, of Iowa; and Mrs. Rachel Goldsberry, of Lafayette; and Mrs. Isabelle Johnson, of Windfall. Mrs. Summers was one of the good mothers of Windfall, a woman beloved by neighbors and friends and everyone whom her life touched. She was a devoted Christian and was a member of the Friends church and constant in her faith.
