On May 24, 1868 she was united in marriage with John D. Hoover. To this union seven children were born, two of whom preceded her in death. Read More	The Hagerstown (IN) Exponent, Thursday, Nov. 12, 1925 ELIZABETH REPLOGLE HOOVER OBITUARY Elizabeth Replogle Hoover was born in Wayne County, Indiana, July 5, 1848 and died November 3, 1925, at the age of 77 years, three months and 28 days. On May 24, 1868 she was united in marriage with John D. Hoover. To this union seven children were born, two of whom preceded her in death. Frankie died at the age of one year and Emory at the age of twenty-three years. Soon after her marriage they moved to Henry county, Indiana, where they lived until December 1877, when they returned to Wayne county, near Hagerstown, Indiana, in which locality they lived until her death. In May 1869 she and her husband united with the Church of the Brethren, in which she lived faithfully to the end. She was an affectionate wife and loving mother. Her constant care and concern was for the welfare and happiness of her family. She was not only concerned for their temporal needs, but also provided for their moral and religious training. She always went about her many duties with a willing cheerful disposition. Her spirit of helpfulness and self-sacrifice was even evident, for she was never too busy or too tired to lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor. These traits of character won for her the respect and esteem of all. She is survived by her husband; two sons--Lewis R. Greenwood, Indiana and Perry R., of Liberty, Illinois; three daughters--Mrs.J. C. Isenbarger, of Chicago. Illinois, Mrs. Frank E. Hay and Mrs. Frank P. Nicholson, of Hagerstown, Indiana; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many other relatives.
