Ella (Berreth) was born October 18, 1909, at Leith, North Dakota, to David and Margaret (Scherer) Berreth. She married Henry Namanny, son of Andrew and Matilda (Maack) Namanny, October 7, 1925, at Highmore. He farmed and worked road construction in the Highmore area. She kept a boarding house until 1939, when they opened Namanny's Cafe in Highmore. Their son, Robert, bought the cafe in 1950, and they opened another cafe in Miller, which they operated until 1990. Ella (Berreth) was born October 18, 1909, at Leith, North Dakota, to David and Margaret (Scherer) Berreth. She married Henry Namanny, son of Andrew and Matilda (Maack) Namanny, October 7, 1925, at Highmore. He farmed and worked road construction in the Highmore area. She kept a boarding house until 1939, when they opened Namanny's Cafe in Highmore. Their son, Robert, bought the cafe in 1950, and they opened another cafe in Miller, which they operated until 1990. Ella was a member of the Methodist Church, Senior Center, Rebekah Lodge, and was a Royal Neighbor for 50 years. She served on the State Restaurant Board for many years, holding various offices in the organization. Survivors include by three sons, Edwin (Rose) of Raid City, Robert "Dutch" (Bernadine) of Loveland, CO, and Michael (Peggy) of Miller; a daughter, Elaine Coss Hanson of Pierre; 40 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola of Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, a daughter, Betty, in 1976, four brothers, a sister and four grandchildren.
