Description	:	Obituary Marshall (MI) Evening Chronicle Monday, July 7, 1947 Homer Funeral Services ---Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Collins Deming, 80, widow of the late Frank E. Deming, were held at the Mains funeral home, here, Saturday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock, with the Rev. O. J. Curtiss, pastor of the local Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Fairview cemetery here. ---Homer friends were saddened when they learned of Mrs. Deming's death which occurred Thursday morning at the Doty Nursing Home in Hillsdale, following a several year's illness. ---Mrs. Deming was born in Hillsdale county, March 12, 1867, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Normal R. Collins. She was married to Frank E. Deming in North Adams, June 8, 1898. He died in 1943. Both were prominent residents of this village, having conducted a dry good store here for many years. They were also active members of the local Methodist church and its various organizations. ---To this union three children were born, a son, Donald, having died in 1934. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Whitney of Tekonsha and Mrs. Ruthella Olney of Homer; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. D. C. Lamb of Lansing and Mrs. M. E.
