Description	:	Ella Elizabeth Bendixen Else, daughter of Henry Bendixen and Agnes Friedrichsen Bendixen, was born January 22, 1887, in Crawford County, Iowa, and died at the Eventide Home in Denison on Thursday, July 31, 1975, having attained the age of 88 years, 6 months and 9 days. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. On February 24, 1910, she was married to Julius M. Else at the Friedens Evangelical Church in Schleswig. Read More	Ella Elizabeth Bendixen Else, daughter of Henry Bendixen and Agnes Friedrichsen Bendixen, was born January 22, 1887, in Crawford County, Iowa, and died at the Eventide Home in Denison on Thursday, July 31, 1975, having attained the age of 88 years, 6 months and 9 days. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. On February 24, 1910, she was married to Julius M. Else at the Friedens Evangelical Church in Schleswig. They lived on the home place northwest of Schleswig until 1930 when they moved to town. Mrs. Else was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and the Aquila Priscilla Club. Mr. Else passed away in 1967. Mrs. Else continued to make her home in Schleswig until August 1972, when she entered Eventide. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius in August 1967, and an infant son who died in 1922. She is survived by two, children, Garnet (Mrs. Ray Schmidt) and James, both of Schleswig; one granddaughter, Vickie (Mrs. Walter R. Huebner) and two great-grandchildren, Andrea and Aaron all of Denison; two sisters, Selma (Mrs. Broder Petersen) of Schleswig, and Hattie (Mrs. Ed Lehman) of Denison; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 2, 1975, 10 a.m., at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig with Pastor Theodore A. Letzring officiating. Mrs. Leroy Hight served as organist and the Immanuel Lutheran Choir sang "Be Still My Soul". The congregation sang "Nearer My God To Thee". The following served as pallbearers: Henry Bendixen Edgar Else, Wm. J. Petersen, Alfred Else, Raymond Else and Roland Struck. Interment was made in the Morgan Township Cemetery.
