Lucille Brodie passed from this life peacefully Sunday morning, January 20th, 2013 at Seneca Health Care District Hospital located in Chester, CA. Her loving family was at her side. Lucille Brodie passed from this life peacefully Sunday morning, January 20th, 2013 at Seneca Health Care District Hospital located in Chester, CA. Her loving family was at her side. Born in Muscatine, Iowa to Iowa natives M.P. and Minnie (TeStrake) Pace on October 7, 1916 Lucille as she preferred to be called was raised and educated in Muscatine graduating from Lincoln High School as a member of the "Class of 1934". She went on to attend Beauty College and upon her graduation returned to Muscatine to practice. Lucille was introduced to a handsome young Iowan name Robert J. Brodie at a local dance, an encounter that led to the couple's marriage on May 4, 1941. To this union one daughter was born. The family settled in Marion Iowa where Lucille worked as a cook in the local school's cafeteria for some twenty years. Following the couples retirement the moved west in 1973 to reside in Felton, CA and later Lucille moved to the Chester/Lake Almanor region in 2000 following the passing of her husband. Lucille was a member of the Marion, Iowa chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and while residing in Felton was active with the Felton Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Upon her move to the Chester/Lake Almanor area she enjoyed dining with the other local seniors while residing at Wildwood Senior Center as well as attending the Chester Community United Methodist Church. She found enjoyment in reading, knitting and crocheting as well as socializing with her friends and family. In passing Lucille leaves her daughter D. Kay Alcorn and her husband Dave of Lake Almanor, CA, the pride of her later life her grandchildren; David, Kimberly and her husband Raymond and Jeffery and his wife Tina, great grandchildren; Rayanna, Nicole and Cody and her great great granddaughter; Elayna. At Lucille's request no services will take place. Private inurnment will take place next to her late husband in Oakwood Memorial Park located in Santa Cruz, CA
