Description	:	Ella M. Goodman Roper was born September 5, 1892, to William Calvin Goodman and Annetta Rebecca Breitweiser Goodman at Bruning, Neb. She was married November 6, 1912, to Theodore Willis Roper. To this union two children, Lyle Curtis Roper and Leoris Alma Roper Werner, were born. Mr. and Mrs. Roper lived on a farm near Alexandria for several years, then on a farm near Exeter, moving to Fairmont in the early part of 1929. Goodman Roper was born September 5, 1892, to William Calvin Goodman and Annetta Rebecca Breitweiser Goodman at Bruning, Neb. She was married November 6, 1912, to Theodore Willis Roper. To this union two children, Lyle Curtis Roper and Leoris Alma Roper Werner, were born. Mr. and Mrs. Roper lived on a farm near Alexandria for several years, then on a farm near Exeter, moving to Fairmont in the early part of 1929. Mrs. Roper was a member of the Royal Neighbors and past noble grand of the Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Roper had been in poor health the past six months. She departed this life at Hastings, Neb., January 22, 1966, at the age of 73 years, 4 months, 2 weeks and 3 days. Preceding her in death were her two brothers. Survivors include a son, Lyle Curtis Roper of Council Bluffs, Ia.; daughter, Leoris Alma Roper Werner of Crete; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Beer of Englewood, Col., Mrs. Kate Demaray of Tigard, Ore.; one brother, James Goodman of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Federated Church in Fairmont at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, Rev. Leonard Hartwig officiating. Oliver Moul sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "The End of a Perfect Day." Linda Smith was accompanist. Pallbearers were Eugene Hoarty, Alfred Jorgensen, Ralph Keil, Francis McMahon, Everet Nichols and Gaylord Philson.
