She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mary Sams Lawson, sisters, Hilda Hicks, Ruby Grill, Irene Fesmire, Helen Brady, brothers, Grady Lawson, Howard Lawson. Survivors: husband, Dennis Layne, of the home, sisters, Lou Burgess, and husband, Bruce, Magalene Staley, all of Ramseur, Essie Stout, of Asheboro. Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur and other times at the residence. Condolences may be made online at www.loflinfuneralservice.com.
