Mrs. Manes was born on December 9, 1903, at Braymer, Mo., coming to Cherokee as an infant. She had lived in this vicinity since then with the exception of fifteen years spent at Picher, Okla. She moved to the present farm home from Picher six years ago. Survivors include the widower, Roy Manes; a son, Joe B. Caresio of Oakland, Calif.; a daughter, Miss Catherine Caresio of the home; a brother, Jess F. Young of Kansas City, Kas.; a sister, Mrs. Ina Graham of the home, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Baptist church in Picher, Okla. tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. F.H. Hawes in charge. Burial will be in the Cherokee cemetery. ******************** Her daughter, Catherine Ellen Caresio, was born 2 Feb. 1924 in Cherokee, Crawford County, Kansas. She died 10 Aug. 2005.
