Ella Mae Springer, the daughter of Melville and Mary Maw White, was born in Hamilton County on March 16, 1898. Her death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska on November 11, 1978, following several years of failing health at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 25 days. She had spent her entire lifetime in Hamilton County. She received her education in the rural school near her parent's home. On January 27, 1915 she was united in marriage to William E. Springer at the home of her parents. They farmed the home place for many years, until 1962 when they retired from the farm and moved into Aurora where she has since resided. Mr. Springer preceded her in death on February 28, 1977. Ella was baptized and confirmed in the Pleasant View Bible Church, where she remained a member until 1959 when she transferred her membership to the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Aurora, now the United Methodist Church. She was regular in her attendance until failing health prevented her from going. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one infant grandchild. Her only survivors are her two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Humrich, the wife of Glenn of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Mrs. Erma Humrich, the wife of Paul of Longmont, Colorado and 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren Contributor: Don (46558676)
