Description	:	Mrs. Ellen Masterson of this city passed away suddenly Friday morning, November 11th. She had been in ill health for some time, but her death was unexpected at this time, and came as a severe shock to her family and friends. Deceased was the widow of the late engineer, John Masterson who it will be remembered, was killed in the wreck of the fast mail, on the Moingona hill, several years ago. Read More	Mrs. Ellen Masterson of this city passed away suddenly Friday morning, November 11th. She had been in ill health for some time, but her death was unexpected at this time, and came as a severe shock to her family and friends. Deceased was the widow of the late engineer, John Masterson who it will be remembered, was killed in the wreck of the fast mail, on the Moingona hill, several years ago. She had never fully recovered from the shock and of late had been a complete nervous wreck. Ellen McCaffery was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, January 9, 1853. She had lived in Boone 32 years. She was married in this city to John Masterson and to them were born seven children, five boys and two girls, all of whom survive to mourn the loss of a loving mother. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Sacred Heart church, conducted by Father Saunders and interment in the Catholic cemetery, beside the remains of her husband.
