Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs Venora Borton, an old resident of St Anthony, who died at the Marshall county hospital Friday, were held at two o'clock Sunday at the Christian church in charge of Rev George Biersborn of Liscomb. Burial was in the Clemons cemetery. Mrs Borton died at four o'clock after a year's illness. She had suffered a stroke about a month ago. Burial was in the Clemons cemetery. Mrs Borton died at four o'clock after a year's illness. She had suffered a stroke about a month ago. Born at Suybrook, Illinois, May 8, 1861, Ella Venora Robertson had been a resident of St Anthony since she was eighteen years old. She was married to James Borton of St Anthony in December 1901, and he died in November 1921. Mrs Borton is survived by two brothers, Albert Robertson of Marshalltown and John Robertson of Grenola, Kansas, and two sisters, Mrs Henry O'Neil of Leroy, Illinois and Mrs S V Cunningham of Frimble, Minnesota. Another sister, Mrs Myrta McCormack preceded her in death November 29, 1941. Music was in charge of Mrs Fred Meekins and Mrs Donald Dakins and Mrs George Biersborn sang. Flowers were in charge of Lois Clark, Lois McCormack, Lois Robertson and Maxine Robertson. The pall bearers were Charles Schryver of Union, Charles Linquist, Ray Keoppel, John Mackin, Ed Flannigan and Oscar Wallwork. Many from Marshalltown, Clemons, Newton, State Center and Union were present. April 30, 1942 State Center Enterprise.
