Description	:	The death of Morris C Robertson, a former well known farmer of St Anthony, proved a shock to the old friends in this county. Mr Robertson began to be ill about March 1, and has gradually failed, and after a battle of over four months died at his home near Maxwell at the age of 47 years. Read More	The death of Morris C Robertson, a former well known farmer of St Anthony, proved a shock to the old friends in this county. Mr Robertson began to be ill about March 1, and has gradually failed, and after a battle of over four months died at his home near Maxwell at the age of 47 years. Mr Robertson was a loyal citizen, a helpful neighbor, a true husband and a kind father. He was a lover of his home and home life - a believer in the principles of truth and honesty, and daily endeavored to practice that which he believed to be right. Morris C Robertson was the son of Alexander and Margaret Robertson, and was born April 7, 1862, at Gilmore township, Tuscarawas county, Ohio. During his boyhood his parents moved to Saybrook, McLean county, Illinois. There he grew to manhood on the farm and developed those manly traits of character so prominent thruout the years of his maturity. On March 12, 1885 he was united in marriage to Miss Lovina Carbaugh of Saybrook. Five children, one daughter and four sons, came to bless this union. On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 1891, Mr Robertson and his family landed at St Anthony, where for sixteen years Mr Robertson was engaged in farming, and won for himself a place of honor in the community, being highly esteemed for his honesty, integrity, and uprightness of life. On February 23, 1907 he moved from St Anthony to the present family farm, four miles northeast of Maxwell, where in two short years the sterling qualities of this noble man and his excellent family won the respect and esteem of all who know them. Mr Robertson leaves a father, three brothers, five sisters, a wife and his five children to mourn his death. The burial service was held from the Christian church at St Anthony, at 1 o'clock on the afternoon of July 14, 1909, conducted by Elder S P Telford, pastor of the Christian church at Maxwell, after which the body was laid to rest in the Clemons cemetery.
