Description	:	Mrs. Ella Stryker, 78, passed away at a nursing home in Ida Grove Thursday, April 4, following a long illness. She is survived by two sons, Earl R. and Frank R. both of Ida Grove; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Ella Winifred Stryker, daughter of Daniel R. and Annie Smith, was born August 31, 1868, at Tipton, Cedar county, Iowa and there grew to womanhood. She is survived by two sons, Earl R. and Frank R. both of Ida Grove; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Ella Winifred Stryker, daughter of Daniel R. and Annie Smith, was born August 31, 1868, at Tipton, Cedar county, Iowa and there grew to womanhood. Mrs. Stryker was married December 25, 1889 to Harry P. Styker, at Tipton. Several years later the couple came to make their home in Ida county. They spent 27 years on a farm in Silver Creek township and 19 years in Arthur. Mr. & Mrs Stryker had the pleasure of celebrating their golden wedding anniversary on December 25, 1939 at the home of their son, Earl. Only the immediate family were in attendacne, due to the illness of Mrs. Stryker. In December, 1940, Mr. and Mrs. Stryker moved to Ida Grove, whre he passed away, April 30, 1942. Mrs. Stryker was a member of the Arthur Methodist church, also a willing worker in the W.S.C.S. as long as her health permitted. She had been in poor health for the past 20 years, and critically ill for 30 days, passing away after suffering several strokes. She was the last member of her family, having been preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Mrs. Stryker had attained the age of 78 years, 7 months and 3 days. Funeral services were held from the Moore-Christensen funeral home Monday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Thos. B. Collins officiating. years, 7 months and 3 days. Interment was in the Ida Grove Cemetery.
