Description	:	This community was profoundly shocked and deeply grieved by the death of Mrs. Ellen A. Farmer, who passed away at about 8 o'clock Friday morning, February 22, 1946, at her home here without warning. Mrs. Farmer had suffered occasional illness in the past few years, but at no time had her condition been considered critical. Early Friday morning she appeared in usual health and had gone to the door of her home to greet callers when she was stricken. Farmer, who passed away at about 8 o'clock Friday morning, February 22, 1946, at her home here without warning. Mrs. Farmer had suffered occasional illness in the past few years, but at no time had her condition been considered critical. Early Friday morning she appeared in usual health and had gone to the door of her home to greet callers when she was stricken. The daughter of Patrick and Mary Delaney, Mrs. Farmer was born October 21, 1883, on a farm south of Exeter and was a lifelong resident of this community. February 9, 1909, she was married to Paul R. Farmer. To them were born four children, Burton W. of Exeter, Glen T. of Schuyler, Raul H. of Geneva, and Mrs. Dorothy Nuernberger of Cleveland, O. Also surviving are five brothers, Edward, James and Anthony Delaney of Lincoln, William Delaney of Santa Barbara, Cal., and Henry Delaney of Exeter; one sister, Mrs. Jacob Baroch of Lincoln; and four grandchildren, Howard Nuenberger Jr., Jacqueline Jean, Thomas and Constance K. Farmer. Mr. Farmer passed away September 22, 1935, after which time Mrs. Farmer continued in the management of the funeral home with admirable courage, assisted by her sons. Her kindly and gracious nature was ever a source of comfort to those who in time of sorrow sought the services of the Farmer institution. Friends filling the large edifice were present at St. Stephen's Catholic Church Monday morning to pay their last respects. Requiem high mas was celebrated by the pastor, Rev. A. A. Antochowski, assisted by Rev. Henry Scholtens of Friend. Burial was in the Exeter Cemetery. This community is indeed the loser and sorrows in the passing of Mrs. Farmer, and deepest sympathy is extended to the children and other relatives.
