Description	:	Mrs Ellen McKelvey, an old resident of Marshall county, passed away at noon Monday at the home of her son, Harry McKelvey, a mile north and a mile and a quarter east of Clemons, death being due to pneumonia, following an illness of a week. Mrs McKelvey was born Ellen Copelander at London, Canada, August 24, 1848. When a small girl she moved with her parents to Monroeville, Ohio and came to Iowa in the spring of 1869, locating in Cedar county. Read More	Mrs Ellen McKelvey, an old resident of Marshall county, passed away at noon Monday at the home of her son, Harry McKelvey, a mile north and a mile and a quarter east of Clemons, death being due to pneumonia, following an illness of a week. Mrs McKelvey was born Ellen Copelander at London, Canada, August 24, 1848. When a small girl she moved with her parents to Monroeville, Ohio and came to Iowa in the spring of 1869, locating in Cedar county. She was married October 24, 1869 at Tipton to Frank McKelvey who died May 2, 1913. Mr and Mrs McKelvey came to Marshall county in March 1870. They lived in Marietta until 1893 and then moved to the Clemons neighborhood where Mrs McKelvey had since made her home. She is survived by a daughter Mrs H T Braddock of Chadron, Nebraska and her son, Harry McKelvey, at Clemons. A son, Byron McKelvey, died six years ago. Nine grandchildren also survive. Mrs McKelvey was a member of the Episcopal Church of Monroeville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Christian Church at Clemons.
