Groves, which occurred yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Neil Bushlow south of Cherokee. She had been sick for some time with chronic diabetes, but the immediate cause of her death was lung fever, which attacked her a few days previous to her death. The deceased, whose maiden name was Ellen Bull, was born in England. She was united in marriage with Mr J Groves, now one of Cherokee county's wealthiest farmers, in Clinton county, Iowa. They came to Cherokee county in 1869. Besides her husband Mrs Groves leaves her daughter, Mrs. Bushlow, and two sons, George F. and Charles H., both of whom are now located here. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon, the services being conducted at Good Hope church at 2 o'clock. The funeral party will leave the house at 1 o'clock. Feb 16th Cherokee paper printed a correction say her son, Roy, had been omitted and that the funeral date had been moved later because of snow.
