Description	:	Born in Greeley, Nebraska to Maurice and Anastatia (Smith) McCrory. Lived in Greeley until the early 1940s. Her father was a small town school administrator, her mother a school teacher. Named for her grandmothers, Ellen (Bourke) Smith and Maude Elizabeth (Whittaker) McCrory. Was a resident at St. Monica's in Lincoln in the late 1960s/early 1970s but became a counselor there and eventually the Executive Director. She retired from St Monica's in 1995. Survived by her special friend Pat Hoffman and 8 nieces and nephews. Died two days after her sister-in-law Lois McCrory, widow of Vern McCrory.
