Description	:	OBIT: Elma Mudd Spletzer, 95, of Ellensburg died October 12, 2002, at her home. She was born March 20, 1907 in Ellensburg, one of eight children of Frank and Marie (Bachman) Mudd. She was raised in the Badger Pocket area in a blended family of 16 siblings and attended Denmark School. She married John Cimball in the early 1920s and lived in Easton in connection with his work for the railroad. She later married Paul Spletzer and accompanied him to various areas to live in relation to his job as construction superintendent. They returned... Read More	OBIT: Elma Mudd Spletzer, 95, of Ellensburg died October 12, 2002, at her home. She was born March 20, 1907 in Ellensburg, one of eight children of Frank and Marie (Bachman) Mudd. She was raised in the Badger Pocket area in a blended family of 16 siblings and attended Denmark School. She married John Cimball in the early 1920s and lived in Easton in connection with his work for the railroad. She later married Paul Spletzer and accompanied him to various areas to live in relation to his job as construction superintendent. They returned to Ellensburg in 1955 and she made her home at 102 S. Main Street until moving to Cascade Manor senior apartments. She worked in fast service as a cook and waitress and will be remembered as one of the capable crew at the Hi-Way Grille. She was a member of the Eagles and Moose lodges. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; 13 siblings; son, Richard; and stepdaughter, Pauline Spletzer. She is survived by her son, Bob (Adela) Cimball of Bothell; sisters, Clara Adams and Catherine Wells of Ellensburg; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial celebration of life will be 11 a.m., October 19 at the Eagles Lodge, 301 W. Fourth Avenue. Inurnment will be at IOOF Cemetery in Ellensburg.
