Description	:	Elmer D. Marsh Elmer Dwight Marsh, 84, a resident of Nella's Nursing Home for the past five years and a former resident of Route 1, Moatsville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006. He was born Sept. 18, 1922, at Moatsville, a son of the late Grover C. and Icie E. (Johnson) Marsh. He was united in marriage Oct. 31, 1948 to Betty Lou (Pitzer) Marsh, who survives at Nella's Nursing Home in Crystal Springs. He was united in marriage Oct. 31, 1948 to Betty Lou (Pitzer) Marsh, who survives at Nella's Nursing Home in Crystal Springs. Also surviving are one son, Floyd Marsh; one sister, Vonda Williams of Barberton, Ohio; one granddaughter, Pamela Jo Murphy; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by one brother, Hayward Marsh, and one reared son, Bernard Summers. Mr. Marsh in earlier years worked as a truck driver for the West Virginia Department of Highways. Mr. Marsh was a farmer, carpenter and a driver for Barbour County Emergency Medical Service. Mr. Marsh served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Laurel Mountain Post 410. Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home at 216 N. Walnut St. in Philippi Friday the service hour, with Pastor Albert Belt of Gospel Light Tabernacle Church in Elkins officiating. Interment will follow in Central Chapel Cemetery with the honor guard of American Legion Post 44 conducting military rites. Wright Funeral Home services. From 26 Oct 2006.
