Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Menominee with Rev. David Fulton officiating. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery in Menominee. Elmer was born on December 5, 1934 at Menominee to John and Maxalinda (Suing) Jansen. He grew up and lived his entire life on the home place near Menominee where he farmed and milked cows. He married Rose Mary Tramp on September 6, 1960 in Crofton. He and Rose Mary loved to dance and spend time with their family. He loved to play cards and horseshoes. Elmer was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Menominee. Elmer is survived by 3 sons, Dean and Julie Jansen of Yankton: Duane Jansen of Yankton; Darlo Jansen of Lincoln; 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Leonard Jansen of Hartington; Clarence and Angela Jansen of Fordyce; 5 sisters, Angela Leise of Santa Rosa, California; Clara Rolfes of Wynot; Loretta and Claudius Schulte of Bow Valley; Rita Sudbeck of Bow Valley; and Lorraine and Leo Schulte of Hartington. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Rose Mary, on July 18, 1997 at the age of 56, 2 sons, Delno and Darald Jansen, and 2 brothers, George and Martin Jansen.
