Description	:	Obituary; Elmer E. Manley was born in Ripley County, Indiana, June 29, 1861 and departed this life. April 1, 1919, at his home in Mission Creek, Nebraska age to 57 years, nine months and two days. At the age of six years, he moved with his parents to Nebraska, where he has since resided. He was united in marriage to Anna E. Eastwood, September 13, 1887. To this union were born 14 children. Two died in infancy. Manley was born in Ripley County, Indiana, June 29, 1861 and departed this life. April 1, 1919, at his home in Mission Creek, Nebraska age to 57 years, nine months and two days. At the age of six years, he moved with his parents to Nebraska, where he has since resided. He was united in marriage to Anna E. Eastwood, September 13, 1887. To this union were born 14 children. Two died in infancy. The Widow, together with the 12 children survive, all being at his bedside with the exception of one son, who is serving his country overseas. He also leaves two sisters and two brothers. Mrs. H. F. Hallet of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. H. L. Garrison of Somerville, Kansas; C. H. and Floyd Manley of Liberty, Nebraska; and Ed Manley of Canada. Mr. Manley was actively engaged in farming until the last six months. When disease, fastened itself upon him and he was forced to give up the activities of life, being confined to bed for the past 10 weeks. The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon at the mission creek church, and was largely attended, the trick to being filled to its capacity. Reverend W. R. Gray of Somerville, conducted the service and preached from the text, "Righteousness, delivereth from death".
